Opened in 1888 to serve the Scandinavian community, Hans Christian Andersen Community Academy is a neighborhood school located in the East Village area.  Today, we serve over 600 students from grade pre-k through eighth.  Our highly qualified, dedicated and caring faculty, our supportive and giving parents, and our committed community business partners create an environment that promotes high achieving students.
